Special Education Teacher
Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Amanda Solis
My name is Amanda Solis and I have had the opportunity to work within Falcon School District 49 for 9 years as a Special Education paraprofessional. During my time as a para, I worked with various strengths and needs of the diverse student population in the district. Four years back, I found myself wanting a challenge and made the decision to pursue a degree in education. I found a great fit at UCCS and graduated with a degree in Inclusive Elementary Education. I am excited to have made my way back to Ridgeview! Go Huskies!
Personally, I am married to my high school sweetheart, Manny, and we have two sons, Jamian and Daniel, which are 22 and 19! Our oldest son, Jamian, is currently living in Albuquerque, NM and is working on pursuing an education. Our youngest son, Daniel, currently attends a transition program to meet both his strengths and needs, as he has Autism, Fragile X Syndrome, and Epilepsy.
All of my learned knowledge has prepared me in various ways to be within the gratifying field of education. I am excited to meet each and every one of your children and to get our year started with a positive and magnificent outlook onto the 2019-2020 school year!
