Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Brooke Erzen
I am so excited to be starting my 17th year of teaching, and my second year at Steton Elementary. I was born and raised in Northern California. I received my bachelor's degree from San Diego State University and my credential from California State University of San Marcos. I have taken continuing education classes towards getting my master's degree at California State East Bay.
I have known since I was little that I wanted to be a teacher, it is my passion. I feel so fortunate that I get to wake up everyday and go to a job that I love. My first teaching position was in Antioch, California and stayed at that school for 16 years, teaching grades 1st, 3rd, and 4th. It was very hard to leave because I have family (and all of my old students!) still there, but I am excited to start this new chapter in my life.
My husband and I have been married for 9 years and have two daughters. John and his family are from the Springs and we have always wanted to make the big jump and move, and we finally did it last year! My girls are 6 and 9, my little loves.
I feel extremely lucky to get to spend time growing and learning with your child this year. My goal is to instill confidence and the joy of learning into every child. I know that last year ended abruptly and we still are unsure about the future, but what I do know is that I will do my best, this year, to make sure your child has a wonderful learning experience.
Please feel free to contact me at anytime, as I believe that parent and teacher communication is the key to having a successful year with your child.
I am so excited to start this 2020 year at this wonderful school!
