Hello and welcome to 1st grade at Inspiration View Elementary School! The upcoming 2022-2023 school year will be my twenty-third year of teaching and my tenth year in District 49. The majority of my career in education has been in either 1st or 2nd grade. I adore first graders, their love of learning is contagious! I am ecstatic to be teaching in an arts-integrated school that will facilitate the teaching of the whole child. This approach to teaching will include activities that address cognitive, intellectual, creative, intuitive and physical movement to name just a few. Tremendous growth is made when students are given the opportunity to construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form, as well as, engage in the creative process during their learning. I am excited to help facilitate this growth in your child. I am also committed to creating a classroom environment where your child is a valued, trusted and an integral part of our family of learners.
In addition to being a District 49 employee, I am a proud District 49 parent. My husband, Jay, and I have three children. Our oldest, Baylea, is attending college in Kansas. Our oldest son, Austyn is a junior at Vista Ridge High School. Our youngest, Jackson, is a fifth grader here at Inspiration View.
In my free time, I enjoy working out, spending time outdoors and reading. I am a California native, but have lived in Colorado Springs since 1999. I consider the mountains my home and love exploring our beautiful state.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Elizabeth Larson
