Hello & welcome to 6th Grade Social Studies! This is my 6th year teaching Humanities and the Social Sciences. The 2023-24 Academic Year will be my 5th at Horizon Middle School. Prior to joining the Horizon team, I taught World History and Economics at Guangwai-Pacelli High School, a United States University Pathway School in Guangdong, China. 

I am originally from Wisconsin and am a proud alumnus of University of Wisconsin-Platteville. My degree from UW-Platteville is in Secondary Social Studies Education with an Emphasis in History. In addition to history, I am licensed to teach secondary Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Civics, and Geography. In Spring 2018, I was lucky enough to conduct my student teaching experience with the US Dept. of Defense in Germany. 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors; hiking, reading, etc. I am also a pianist, traveler, and table tennis/disc sports enthusiast. I am proud to serve as a member of the Horizon Middle School community and greatly look forward to the 2023-24 Academic Year! Go Panthers!
