As we finish the school year and head toward summer, it’s a great time to reflect on accomplishments and look forward to future opportunities. School year ‘22-23 may be remembered as the year of leadership transitions. Across our district, we saw major transitions as long-serving leaders moved on to new opportunities and greater influence.

During the week of Feb. 6, school districts across the country celebrated National School Counseling Week. D49 has amazing, dedicated and hard-working school counselors who serve all students across the district, and I am incredibly grateful for the commitment they demonstrate every day for our students and colleagues.
