Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Gina Bodenhausen

Hello, my name is Gina Bodenhausen. I am extremely excited to be returning to Stetson Elementary School for the 2020-21 school year. I currently teach kindergarten at Stetson. In my career as a teacher I have taught kindergarten and first grade. I really love the little ones!

I was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. I attended public schools my whole life and stayed in the same district from kindergarten through 12th grade. After graduating from high school, I immediately attended Kansas University (go Jayhawks)! From there I left to attend Cosmetology School. I became a Master Hairstylist at Beauty Brands. I eventually realized that I was born to be a teacher and I chose to return to school and finish what I had started at Kansas University. I attended Emporia State University to earn my Bachelor of Science in Education. After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree My husband, dog, and I immediately moved to Colorado Springs and began working as a Kindergarten Teacher in Harrison School District 2. Since then, I have moved to Monument and began working in District 49. This will be my third year teaching Kindergarten at Stetson.

I absolutely love being in the classroom but my end goal is to become a principal so that I can help children and teachers on a larger scale. I am currently taking classes at Colorado State University-Global Campus to earn my Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning with a Principal Licensure. I will complete my master's degree in November of 2020.
