Mrs. Katie Scott currently works as the Special Education Professor at ALLIES (Academy for Literacy, Learning, and Innovation Excellence) in Colorado Springs, Colorado for students in 2nd-5th grades. Mrs. Scott has been a part of the ALLIES team since July 2018. Although new to ALLIES, Mrs. Scott worked in Colorado Springs from 2002-2009 in Special Education at the early childhood and middle school levels. Mrs. Scott taught preschool for three years in Yukon, Oklahoma. She has also volunteered heavily in field-related leadership positions while in Oklahoma, California, and Colorado through local schools, churches, and community involvement.

Mrs. Scott earned her Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Pre-Primary Education from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2002. Mrs. Scott then received her Master’s of Arts in Special Education - Generalist, from UCCS (University of Colorado at Colorado Springs) in 2007. Mrs. Scott continues to pursue educational opportunities, volunteer events, conferences, and learning within her community.
