Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Bobbi Eriksen
Hello Preschool Families!
My name is Bobbi Eriksen and I am a Preschool Early Childhood Special Education teacher here at Ridgeview Elementary School! This is my second year teaching preschool and I love being part of the Husky family! I completed my Masters in Early Childhood Special Education at the University of Colorado Denver. I am excited to be part of this incredible journey that we call preschool!
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 25 years. We have two teenage children and 5 fur babies. After traveling the world, we relocated to the Colorado Springs area when my husband, a US Navy Chief, retired from service. We love the outdoors, riding ATVs, and animals.
My teaching philosophy for preschool is simple, when your needs are being met, you are most likely to learn. Using Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs as my guide, I strive to meet your student’s emotional, social, academic, physical, and safety needs. It is hard to learn when you do not feel valued, heard, or safe. We create a safe environment where students can be messy and make mistakes. I believe in the growth mindset. We must always try our best and strive to achieve our goals.
Thank you for sharing your children with me during these important early years. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family during the upcoming year!
