District 49 has partnered with SafeStop to provide parents and guardians with notifications regarding projected bus arrival times. SafeStop's multi-platform application can also notify parents and guardians each time a student scans on or off the bus. In the event of a service interruption, bus breakdown or poor road conditions, the transportation team can send a push notification about the delay through the SafeStop app. There is no charge to use the SafeStop app.
Steps to begin using the SafeStop app.
1) Register with SafeStop. Have your child's student identification number ready. The student ID can be found in parent portal.
2) Download the SafeStop app at the end of the registration process. You can also download the SafeStop app in the official Apple or Android app stores.
3) Download the SafeStop user guide to help get you started.
*Only the person listed as "Emergency Priority 1" in parent portal may conduct the initial registration. This primary registrant may allow one other person to register and use the app. Banning Lewis Ranch Academy and Rocky Mountain Classical families need to call the transportation department to get student ID numbers as these schools use different student information systems from District 49 coordinated schools.
SafeStop has useful frequently asked questions and provides robust customer service. Please use these resources for questions about registration, use of the product and other technical issues.
