Mrs. Erin Bangert

Hello there! I’m Erin Bangert and I am a Special Education Generalist teacher here at Stetson Elementary School. I have been a teacher for over 13 years. I started out as a secondary Social Studies teacher before moving over to Special Education. This will be my third year as a Special Education teacher. Supporting students and seeing them grow academically, socially and behaviorally is my passion. I am super psyched to teach students with different needs and abilities!

I am originally from Ithaca, New York where I grew up in the Finger Lakes region. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History with minors in Spanish and Writing from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. I received my Master of Arts in Teaching in Social Studies from State University of New York Binghamton (SUNY Binghamton) in Binghamton, NY. I also earned my Special Education Endorsement from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) in Colorado Springs, CO.

I have a husband, Martin, who is a retired Air Force officer, and three rambunctious pugs. After a 20-year military career spent moving to different parts of the continental United States, my husband and I decided to settle here in Colorado Springs where we fell in love with the mountains, the culture, and military-friendly atmosphere. In my downtime, I love to hang out with my family, hike, read, write, and see new things inside and outside the state.

I am so excited to be a teacher here at Stetson and be a part of this fabulous community!
