GBC FMLA Eligible Staff Leaves and Absences
The Board of Education shall provide a plan for leaves and absences designed to help members of the staff maintain their physical health, take care of family and other personal emergencies, and fulfill mandatory military orders.

GBC-R FMLA Eligible Staff Leaves and Absences
To initiate a leave request under federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the employee must complete a leave of absence application (GBC-E).

GBCA Non FMLA Eligible Staff Leaves and Absences
The Board of Education shall provide a plan for leaves and absences designed to help employees who are ineligible under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) maintain their physical health, take care of family and other personal emergencies, and discharge important and necessary obligations.

GBCAG Staff Unpaid Leave of Absence
An employee, having completed three (3) consecutive years of satisfactory performance, may request an unpaid leave of absence for one school year.

GBEC Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace
The Board recognizes the importance of maintaining a workplace that is free from alcohol and drugs to enhance the safety and welfare of employees and students and ensure compliance with applicable law. Accordingly, it shall be a violation of Board policy for any district employee to manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess, use or be under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs on district property, in or on district vehicles or any other school approved vehicle, at any school-sponsored activity or event, or off district property when the employee is on duty.

The internet and electronic communications have vast potential to support curriculum, learning and business activities. The Board of Education believes they should be used in schools as a resource to educate, inform and to conduct day to day business.

GBGA Staff Health and Medical Examination Requirements
Through its overall safety program and various policies pertaining to school personnel, the Board of Education shall seek to ensure the safety, encourage employees during working hours, and assist them in the maintenance of good health.

The following procedures shall be followed when evaluating the employment status of an employee infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) including those staff members diagnosed as having Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and those suspected of being infected with HIV.

GBGB Staff Personal Security and Safety
Offense against school employees
The following procedures shall be followed in instances of assault, disorderly conduct, harassment, knowingly false allegation of child abuse, or any alleged offense under the “Colorado Criminal Code” by a student directed towards a teacher or other school employee. -
GBGD Workers' Compensation
An employee is eligible for workers' compensation leave from the District during the period of time he/she is temporarily disabled as a direct result of injury arising out of and in the course of his/her employment which qualifies for an indemnity payment from the workers' compensation division of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.

GBGD-R Worker's Compensation
Medical provider
The District will select at least four medical providers authorized to perform worker's compensation evaluations. These providers must be acceptable to the insurance carrier for which the District contracts for services.
