Sand Creek Zone String Orchestra

  • The string orchestra program in the Sand Creek Zone is expanding. Students as early as fifth grade at Evans International Elementary School, Remington Elementary School and Springs Ranch Elementary School have the opportunity to learn to play violin, viola, cello or bass. We have a great time, gain many new skills, and perform wonderful music together.

Enrollment is open now, and ends Sept. 7, 2015.

This is a beginning program in Sand Creek Zone, so students do not need any previous skills in music. We are in the process now of purchasing instruments for our zone using a grant. Please ask about availability of school instruments.

Learning an instrument requires diligence; therefore they must make a one-year commitment to play in the orchestra. Your student will need to rent or purchase an instrument and purchase the “Essential Elements for Strings” method book for use during the year.
