Reading Interventionist

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Samantha Henderson

I am originally from Nebraska where I was born and raised-and will always be a Husker Fan-GO BIG RED!! I graduated from the University of Nebraska, Kearney, where I played softball for the Lopers, and soon after migrated to Colorado Springs. I have a Master's Degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Grand Canyon University.

I have been living and teaching in Colorado Springs for the last 19 years! I started my teaching career in Widefield School District 3 where I taught ELL, Kindergarten, Second Grade, and Fourth Grade. I was also the Volleyball Coach at Mesa Ridge High School. Although my coaching days may be over, my love for sports remains! I have been at Meridian Ranch for the last seven years. Five of those years were spent teaching First Grade and this will be my second year of being a Reading Interventionist at Meridian Ranch!! I get to work with all grade levels and teach the thing I love to teach most-READING! My family and I live in the neighborhood and we love being a part of the community.  You may even see our family and Bulldog walking around the neighborhood!
