District 49 is now accepting applications for the licensed substitute pool for all district schools except Falcon Elementary, Falcon Middle, Falcon High, Sand Creek High, Horizon Middle, and Springs Ranch Elementary (these schools will continue to participate in the Tagg pilot). We are also accepting applications for the support sub pool at all district schools.
QualificationsSubstitute Teacher Qualifications:Effective July 1, 2018 District 49 no longer requires teacher substitutes to possess a substitute authorization or teacher license. To serve as a substitute teacher in District 49 you must hold either:
- A Bachelor's Degree, OR
- A 3 or 5 year substitute authorization, OR
- A Colorado teacher license

District 49 Authorized Charter Schools
If you are interested in becoming a licensed substitute at the charter school locations listed below please apply to the District 49 substitute pool. Please note, each charter school has individual calendars and hours of operation.
The following charter schools are also authorized by District 49. However, these schools do not use District 49’s substitute pool. If you are interested in becoming a substitute at one of these schools, please apply directly to them according to their instructions.
