Choir Director

 

 

I graduated from Woodland Park High School, right here in Colorado!  I went to the University of Nebraska on a vocal scholarship where I received my Bachelors degree in Music Education and vocal performance as well as my Masters Degree in Music Education. I have a second Masters degree in School Principalship. I've been actively involved in theater productions, Choraleers, Collegium, Nebraskats-Show Choir, Opera Workshop, community theater, and served as President of Delta Omicron: National Honorary Music Fraternity. I created Vista Ridge Rhythm Show Choir-a competitive dancing, singing, touring music ensemble. I also teach Men's Ensemble, Women's Ensemble, Select Ladies Ensemble, Concert Choir and I'm the student council advisor! I'm proud to announce that I recently received a second Grammy Nomination for Music Education as well as the Peak Performance Award for excellence in choral education! I was teacher of the year in 2019. I will continue to make myself available to all students wanting to learn and I'm proud to be a part of such an incredible staff at VRHS. When I'm not making music with the Wolf Pack, you can find me skiing or in the gym.

Fun Facts:

-I have my Sail Instructors Certification, Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, AED, Pool Operators, and WSI certifications. 

-I was selected to sing the National Anthem at college graduation for my bachelors and masters as well as the Elite 8 Basketball championship game.
