Welcome to my classroom! I am so excited about being a teacher here at Ridgeview Elementary School. I have taught at Ridgeview for several years now. My goal is to create a classroom environment where we work as a team to make each student succeed in school and in life. I strive to make your students feel safe and welcome each day. I look forward to seeing everyone grow and learn throughout this year and throughout their lives.
I have spent the last 20 years in education. I taught Kindergarten for two years at Stetson Elementary, which is also in District 49. After that, I remained as a substitute teacher and took on many long-term subbing roles during that time. Those experiences led me to a position teaching 5th grade here at Ridgeview. I taught 5th grade for three years. This year is my seventh year teaching 4th grade.
I am originally from New Hampshire and found my way to Colorado over 20 years ago. My husband Peter and I have built our lives in Colorado Springs and love it. I have a passion for reading books, hiking, traveling, especially visiting the National Parks, and getting together with friends and family.
Communication is very important to me, so please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. This year I will welcome many challenges and successes as we strive to accomplish goals and achievements. Thank you for trusting me with your child. There is no place I would rather be. I love being a part of the Ridgeview Family.
