Mr. Dave Chapman
My name is Dave Chapman and I have been a teacher at Evans Elementary for the past 26 years. I have taught 4th grade, 3rd grade, have been the Media Specialist and I am now the Technology Instructor as well as the Media Specialist. I am excited about my position and helping students master 21st century skills.
I was born and raised in the San Luis Valley in south/central Colorado. I graduated from Del Norte High School and attended Adams State College where I received my BA in Elementary Education.
In 2004 I received my Master's degree in Educational Technology from the University of Colorado at Denver.
I am married and have two awesome boys. One attends Sand Creek High School and the other is at Kansas Wesleyan University. I also coach baseball at Sand Creek High School.
If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call or use the e-mail link on this page. I am always looking for volunteers to help out in the library or during book fairs.

Snow days are now considered E Learning days in D49. In the event of a snow day students can choose to explore a couple of the links on our Wildcat Page. Spend 15-20 minutes exploring Solar System Scope and Google Earth. These are links that we will be using later in the year and it would be helpful if the students were familiar with how to use them when we get started. There is nothing to turn in to me, just explore and have fun with them. The link to the Wildcat Page is in the Links section.
