Mrs. Michelle Duncan

I was born to do this! Everyone in my family is either in the military, or is a teacher. Due to my father's military career I was born in Germany and grew up in different parts of California. Dancing and figure skating in high school sparked my passion for teaching. I was a Teacher's Assistant for dance through Roseville High School and was a figure skating coach for 8 years. My experiences with coaching led me to want to work with kids full time. So, I decided to pursue a career in teaching. My BA in history, and teaching license, were attained through the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and I am currently working on my MA in literacy as well.

I have a yorkie poo named Romeo, a german shepard/american eskimo puppy named Dex, a hamster named Waffles, and a cat named Max. My free time is consumed by reading, mountain biking, hiking, and, when I find the time, ice skating. Similar to my pesky puppy, I am petite but, have a BIG personality! My family refers to me as the TINY tornado and I certainly live up to the title. I love teaching, and WHES has become my second home. This will be my seventh year here at WHES and my third year teaching kindergarten. :)
