    Normal school year hours of operation:  Starting July 8th, 2024, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.  If you need assistance, please call 719-495-1159.

    New Riders:  May fill out the application on-line, through your parent portal, but must come into the Transportation Center to get your bus passes.  You will be contacted by phone when your pass(s) are ready for pick up.

    Existing Riders - Please fill out the application on-line.  Please call our office at 719.495.1159, if you need assistance.

    Replacement Bus Passes - You may purchase a replacement bus pass at the Transportation Center or over the phone with a debit/credit card.  We will verify your bus stop location and ensure all elementary students have the correct bus color and animal sticker for their stop.  Bus passes may be picked up by the parent/guardian or given to the bus driver to hand to the student.

    * We will no longer offer Semester fees per the Board of Education.  
     
    • Annual, quarterly fees are non-refundable unless you move out of the district (amount of refund will be pro-rated).
    • Regardless of pass type, payments must be made by the dates specified above to avoid any late charges.
    • Families with new riders must complete the initial registration and come to the transportation office to get bus pass cards.

    All Patrons must have an account through the Parent Portal:

    • You can access Parent Portal through PowerSchool.  Click here to access Parent Portal.  Create an account if you do not already have one. Follow the instructions for registering the student(s) for transportation.

    Procedures for Free and Reduced Lunch Program

    The State of Colorado has funded Breakfast and Lunches for all students this school year.  In order to receive free transportation your mustsubmit an application for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program with the District’s Nutrition Services, to see if you qualify for this benefit,  you may either:

    • On the Information Release part of the application, check “District 49 Bus Transportation Fee” and Nutrition Services will share the outcome with Transportation.
    • Email us at busfees@d49.org, a copy of the approval letter to the Transportation Department.
    • All patrons that have a direct certification must email or bring in a copy to the Transportation Center or email it to busfees@d49.org. Nutrition Services cannot provide this information since it is sent to you by the State.
    • Please note: You will be responsible for all transportation fees incurred until we receive this letter.

    Applying for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program

    Nutrition Services is expected to begin accepting Free and Reduced Lunch online applications for the 2024-2025 school year on July 15, 2024 . Go to https://www.payschoolscentral.com/#/user/loginto fill out the form.

    • You may also go to the Nutrition Services office beginning July 15, 2024 to drop off or fill out an application.   Nutrition Services is located at 10850 E. Woodmen Rd, Falcon, CO 80831, on the east side of the large warehouse.  If you need any assistance on the application or any other matters, you may call Roxann Clark at 719.494.8965.

    Note: Deadline to submit your approval letter to transportation will be September 30, 2024  .After this date, fees for rides will be applied to your account until the Transportation Department receives a copy of your approval letter. You will be responsible for the payment of these fees.

    You must create a Parent Portal account in Power Schools if you do not already have an account set up.

    Your transportation account will reside in Power Schools under your Parent Portal where you can fill out your application for transportation, select the student(s) that we will be transporting and select your payment option.

    When you complete the application, it will be forwarded to the Transportation department. Please give us approximately 5 working days to activate the fees. To make a payment on your transportation fees, login into your Parent Portal, access your account, select the fee. If you have any problems, please contact our office at 719-495-1159 to make a payment.

    EXISTING and NEW bus riders for RMCA, BLPA and BLRA students must go to www.studentquickpay.com/d49/ to register, after confirming a bus stop is available.

    Transportation payment options are flat fees, invoices or emails will not be sent out as reminders. All payment are due on the dates provided in the fee schedule.  If your account remains in arrears, you will be sent email notification. If not paid, a final notification letter will be mailed to you. Payment must be made within 30 days from the date of the letter. Any account not paid by this date will be turned over to our collection service.

    Please note: Annual and Quarterly payments are non-refundable. The exception for a pro-rated refund will be if you move out of the district.   Punch Cards are non-refundable regardless if you relocate.

    Bus Stop Information

        • Bus Stop Locator is used to determine stop information. It is located on the D49 Website at https://www.d49.org. Select Student Services, Transportation Services. Select Bus Stop Locator, enter your home address. All buses for each school supported will be reflected on the left side of the page. Look for your student’s school and then determine bus color and number, bus stop location and AM/PM pick up and drop off times. If bus stops don’t show up and you see NO TRANSPORTATION, this is due to route reduction and Driver shortage.  Please contact our office by phone at 719.495.1159 or e-mail busstoprequest@d49.org to request a bus stop when avialable.
        • Please check bus stop information after Monday, July 29, 2024 to confirm bus stop information. Stop information may change at any time due to various circumstances.
