Hi! My name is Melanie Hawthorne Long (Mrs. Long) and I am the band director at Horizon Middle School. I graduated from Adams State College and received my masters from American Band College. At HMS I teach 6th grade brass, 6th grade woodwinds, 7th grade brass, 7th grade woodwinds, 8th grade band, and percussion class.
