Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Sport & Exercise Science University of Northern Colorado
Hi there, PE families :) I'm so excited to be starting my 19th year here in Falcon! As we grow and change so much... I'll try to keep that balance between new, innovative ideas and the sense of community, relationships, and tradition that have always made us such a special place.
My husband and I, along with our 3 kids are all proud Colorado natives! We both graduated from Liberty High School in Colorado Springs. We love everything this beautiful state has to offer. I love to share my passion for the outdoors, for play, and for adventure with my family and my students.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology/Sport and Exercise Science, Teaching License K-12 and studied athletic training at the University of Northern Colorado. My husband is a firefighter in Colorado Springs and what a gift it is to be able to do what we both love! We stay busy keeping up with our 3 kids (15, 14, and 11) and all of their activities: baseball, football, wrestling, softball, volleyball, art, camping and exploring the outdoors!
I also love coaching and spent 12 years coaching basketball, volleyball, and youth soccer. I look forward to getting back to coaching someday, but for now am so happy to be my own kids' biggest fan on the sidelines!!
Thank you so much for sharing your child with me... what an honor it is to be their teahcer! I look forward to getting to know my new Firebirds and catching up with my older students... I've really missed them! I love seeing them grow into kind, strong, happy, healthy people. My teaching philosophy is simple... "Build 'Em Up". I promise to do my best to bolster the character and confidence in my class and encourage a culture where they build each other up as well. Here's to all the wonderful things this year has in store. Blessings!!!
