Ms. Margaret Browne

Margaret Browne is a Colorado native.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCCS with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a Masters Degree in Science Teaching.  She has been teaching in Falcon District 49 for nine years.  This is her seventh year at Falcon Middle School teaching sixth grade Life, Earth, and Physical sciences.

As a member of several professional organizations including Colorado Association of Science Teachers, Pikes Peak Area Leadership, Colorado Archaeological Society, and Florissant Scientific Society, Margaret continues her profession development.  In fieldwork on a paleontological survey in Colorado, she made several unique fossil discoveries.

Science education is Ms. Browne’s passion.  She brings real world experiences like video conferencing with a research scientist from the Panama Rain forest to her classroom and encourages students to become everyday scientists.

Her three children are her pride and joy in life. Julie is a professor of political science, Anthony is an art historian, and Allen is biology student and avid outdoor enthusiast.

In her spare time she enjoys cooking Italian food and hiking.

Composition-graphing notebooks are required for science. Spiral notebooks are not acceptable. They fall apart too quickly - the pages come out after a few weeks. If you can not find a composition-graphing notebook, you may purchase them from me for $1.50 each.
Note: Mr. Power also requires composition-graphing notebooks for math.

Homework will be sent in the Team Phoenix daily emails. If you are not already receiving the emails, contact Mrs. Tellljohn,, to request to be added to the list.
