Hello!  This is my ninth year at Vista Ridge and my 17th year teaching science.  I am originally from Williams, Arizona and went to college nearby in Flagstaff, go Lumberjacks! :)  I have a B.S. in Environmental Science with an emphasis in microbiology and a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from UCCS. I currently teach Biology and AP Environmental Science.  I love the postive culture and energy within the staff and students here at Vista Ridge!  

Currently, I am  using Google Classroom to post information such as unit overviews and Google Slides/PowerPoint presentations that students have taken notes on during class.  I am not giving or receiving assignments through Google Classroom.  If students miss class, they will have to obtain work that they missed when they get back to school. If a test has been missed students will need to either make it up during Pathways or come in after school Monday or Wednesdays.  If students need extra help with their biology work Monday and Wednesday after school is also a good time to receive additional help.

I am looking forward to this school year and I hope it can be as "normal" as possible.  Seeing the students faces and having them interact with each other has been LOVELY!
