The Vista Ridge science department is made up of a team of twelve highly qualified and dedicated teachers with a combined 158 years of teaching experience. Additionally, we hold nine Masters degrees and one Ph.D. in education. We have a variety of science backgrounds and, as a result, we can, and do, offer twenty-two science course options - more than any other school in the district. Some of these unique offerings include Astrophysics, Anatomy and Physiology, Forensic Science, Project Lead the Way (PLtW) Biomedical classes, and Zoology, to name a few. We also have three military veterans in our department who bring a unique perspective to the team and the students. Some of our hobbies that allow us to bring varying perspectives to our classrooms include: swimming and bowling, lifting and coaching, rafting and mountain biking, camping and rock scrambling, hiking, and raising goats!
