Board Candidate Informational Workshop

Three Board of Education seats currently held by John Graham, Rick Van Wieren, and Ivy Liu will be on the coordinated election ballot on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.  During this election, three directors will be elected from Director Districts 2, 3 and 5 for a term of office of four years.

The District 49 Board of Education and Superintendent will host an informational workshop for potential board member candidates.  The meeting will take place on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room at Creeksides Peakview Hall, located at 3850 Pony Tracks Dr. Colorado Springs, Co 80922.

Attendees will learn about the role of school boards and receive a brief tutorial on the local board election process.  The Superintendent will provide specific district overviews followed by a question and answer period.
