Athletics in the District
Interscholastic activities are an integral part of the educational process, providing valuable educational experiences outside the classroom. Life-long lessons, including sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork and commitment to goals, are learned through participation in athletics and activities. The goal of District 49 is to maximize these opportunities for our students and offer them a wide variety of options to participate and compete.

Arts and Activities
District 49 middle and high schools offer a wide variety of programs that challenge the minds of our students, reward them for academic excellence, and encourage artistic growth. Arts and activity programs contribute to the development of leadership, talent and creativity in our students. District 49 strives to offer activities for all interests with the goal that each student gain insight about themselves when they pursue their own passions and build upon their individual strengths.
