Parent Organizations
Get Involved - Join an
Organization!
We would
like to help foster a variety of parent organizations to
help Vista Ridge become the best school in Colorado! We
are looking for individuals interested in starting
and/or participating in these organizations.
School Site Council
(a.k.a. BAAC)
At VR we are creating a Site Council, which has
traditionally been called the BAAC in our district. The Site Council
is a visionary group that will help shape the
direction of Vista Ridge High School. The Council
includes parents, students, staff members, and
administrators. All members will be asked to
complete a brief application. To learn more about
the Council,
read
the Site Council Guidelines.
PTSA - Parent Teacher Student Association
While not often seen in high schools, we hope parents
would be interested in creating a Vista Ridge PTSA
group. "PTAs serve as a type of
forum where parents, teachers, administrators, and other
concerned adults discuss ways to promote quality
education, strive to expand the arts, encourage
community involvement, and work for a healthy
environment and safe neighborhoods." (From National
PTA website)
Athletic Booster Club
Athletics play an important role in the life of
many students at Vista Ridge High. The Athletic Booster
Club provides a way for you to become more involved with
your student-athlete and other parents as well. Our
goals are to ensure that students with the desire can
pursue their athletic dreams at Vista Ridge, to boost
school spirit, and ultimately, to foster student success
in the classroom. The purpose of the VRHS Athletic
Booster Club is to promote and support all Vista Ridge
High School athletics and spirit teams for boys and
girls.
Performing Arts Booster Club
We believe Performing Arts (Music, Dance and
Theater) education plays a critical role in the high
school and the lives of our students. The Performing
Arts Booster Club will work to promote and support the
education and development opportunities for all Vista
Ridge High School students participating in Performing
Arts.
