ENROLLMENT AND REGISTRATION

ENROLLMENT OR
REGISTRATION?
We
define an enrollment as a student who is coming in new
to District 49 at any time throughout the school year.
Course selection occurs in February when students sign
up for the courses they want to take the following year.
Registration occurs in late July for parents and
students to complete activities such as verifying course
schedules, pay class fees, order yearbooks, and get
locker assignment.
My student will be attending Vista Ridge next
fall but is not currently attending a District 49 public
school. What do I do next?

We live or
have moved into the Vista Ridge boundary area, but
my student in completing the 07-08 school year at
another district. OR
-
My student is
currently an 8th grader at Banning Lewis Charter,
Rocky Mountain Classical, or Pikes Peak School of
Expeditionary Learning Charter and we live in the
Vista Ridge boundary.
You will need the following documentation (see
document links below):
1. Proof of residency in District 49.
2. Unofficial copy of student's transcript or
most recent report card.
3. An updated individual education plan (IEP) if
your student has special needs.
4. Required immunization information.
5. Birth certificate.
6. Copy of Social Security card.
Once
complete, please submit all paperwork to Karla
Long (667-4518) in the counseling office at Sand
Creek High School.
You will need
to complete the same documentation as listed
above, except for the Proof of Residency.

to complete your enrollment.

currently attending Sand Creek High, Falcon High,
Skyview Middle, Horizon Middle, or Falcon Middle
School and has choiced into Vista Ridge.
You do not
need to do anything further at this time.
