Orientation/Open House in July
Please see below for important dates & times to
report to Vista Ridge!
July 27-29
Monday, Tuesday &
Wednesday from 1:00-4:00 is open house for all 10th
and 11th graders
Monday night 5:00-7:30 is for all Freshman with last
name A-L
Tuesday night from 5:00-7:30 is for all Freshman with
last name M-Z
This will be a time to pick up schedules, get ID’s,
lockers, find out transportation information, etc.
First day of school for ALL 9th graders is August
4th (7:10a-2:10p)
First day of school for ALL 10th & 11th graders is
August 5th (7:10a-2:10p)
Central Registration for
District 49 began June 22nd. All new students must go to
the Central Office for registration. Business hours are
Monday thru Thursday from 8:00am- 4:00pm

Enrollment for
2009-2010 School Year
Beginning July 1st,
enrollment for the fall will be held at our Central
Office location on E. Woodmen Road. Once you have
enrolled your family, you will be given additional
contact information for the school to register for
classes.

Sign-Up for the
Parent Portal
Infinite Campus offers the Parent Portal
which allows you to see your student's grades and daily
attendance. If you already have a log-in from this year
(regardless of current school), you will not need to
sign-up again in the fall. If you are currently
enrolled, you can still sign-up with Mrs. Long in the
front office. New families to the district will be able
to sign-up when completing the enrollment process.

Athletic Field Usage: Due
to the high usage on our athletic fields over the past
year , the district Maintenance Department has decided
to prohibit all usage on these fields for the months of
May, June and July. Field usage for fall
sports will be determined in August. No Vista Ridge,
outside teams or community groups will be allowed on any
of the grass fields beginning Thursday May 21st.
We apologize for the inconvenience but without this time
to regenerate, the fields may be lost forever.

Early Final Exams:
Please submit any requests for early final
exams to Mrs. Collins. Criteria for early finals
is available on the request form which can be picked up
in the main office. Early final exams must be
approved by May 1st otherwise exams will have to be made
up in the summer.

Not returning to
Vista Ridge Next Year?
If your student will not be
returning in the fall for the 2009-2010 school year,
please call Mrs. Karla Long at 494-8807 or by email
kjlong@d49.org and
let her know. Your student will complete a withdrawal
process with us prior to their last day of attendance.
Please allow a minimum of 48 hours notice in order for
your student to complete this process. Thank you
in advance for your cooperation.
