BAAC (Building Accountability Advisory Committee)
Upcoming BAAC Meetings
Thursday, October 4th - 4 PM in the Skyview Library
What is BAAC?
A collaborative group who represents the community point of view at large. We are a group that is concerned with "what" is being implemented and its quality. The BAAC committee members serve in an advisory role to the principal with our findings.
We hold ourselves (students, parents, educators, and community members) responsible for meeting identified student achievement targets through a continuous cycle of planning, evaluation, and reporting. We are involved in the School Improvement Plan, and the Budget of the school. We adopt building goals/objectives for the improvement of education in the building, and adopt a plan to improve educational achievement, maximize graduation rates, and increase the ratings for the school’s accreditation category. We will discuss safety issues related to the school environment and develop, revise, and implement a safe school plan for the school consistent with the district's safe school plan and policies.
The BAAC Committee meets once a month usually the first Thursday at 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. We meet here in the Skyview library. If you are interested or would like further information, please email Ann Fletcher.
