Skyview Eagles Theatre
Advisor: Kat Brundage
Do you dream of being a star? Do you see yourself on Broadway?
Well, even if you never plan to leave Colorado, you can get your "15 minutes of fame" right here on the Skyview stage – join the Skyview Eagles Theatre!
How to Join:
Being in the Drama classes is not a prerequisite for being in the school plays, so any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student who would like to perform in the twice-yearly Skyview Eagles Theatre (SET) productions may be considered for those shows. Interested students will need to go through an authentic audition process in order to be selected and included in the shows. (The1st Semester show is usually a large-cast musical, but there are non-singing parts available; the 2nd Semester show is usually a play, which may require cuts to be made, depending on the size of the cast.)
Auditions are advertised via daily announcements, posters, flyers, word-of-mouth, and the school newsletter when possible. (The musical auditions are held in August/September, and the play auditions are held in January. Show dates are usually in December and April.) There are also opportunities for students who are interested in being part of the stage crew.
Please note that all students who participate in the productions will be expected to sign a contract, pay a $10.00 activity fee, rehearse after school, and meet eligibility expectations as described in the Skyview Handbook, as well as the behavioral expectations of the teacher/director.
