Science
Grading Rubric
The students will participate in an archeological dig, and
present the findings on a page in the footprint book. The
students will understand how we learn about the past through the
lens of archeology and science.

Math
Grading Rubric
The students will be given the choice of studying architecture,
music, or secret codes. For the footprint book, the students
will research important figures in math and science and create
Wanted Posters that explain who the scientist was and how he or
she impacted what we know today. The students will understand
how individuals in the past have directly affected what we are
able to do today. |

Geography
The students will create and explain artifacts that represent
what they have learned throughout the year about locations and
cultures around the world. The footprint book will include a
picture or drawing of the artifacts that were created. The
students will understand how cultures and people are often
defined by what they leave behind, and each continent and
culture is unique. |
Language Arts
The students will read literature from around the world, and the
students will write a modern poem, short story, or myth that
represents their experience. Students will understand how
reading and writing are a record of human experience.
