Announcements!!

Dear Falcon School District 49 Patrons,

We are in the process of putting a "weight lifting program" at the Patriot Learning Center and we need your help.

If you are willing to donate quality weight lifting equipment to our school it will be greatly appreciated. We are willing to give you a "tax write off" for what you donate.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Tom Wilke (Assistant Principal) at 495-5508.

We are looking for, olympic weight benches, olympic weights with bars, dumbells, squat racks, treadmills, stationary bikes, and any other quality equipment.

Please take a moment to look at our business partners (see the link to the left). Being a small school with a limited budget, and not having the revenue sources that a typical secondary school would have, Patriot Learning Center relies heavily on the generosity of these establishments.

We have created a page where parents and community members can see what our staff needs for their classroom projects.  Please check the "Donations Needed!" page frequently for new items that we could use that you may have at home that you could donate.  Thanks!!!

The middle school and high school libraries at PLC are looking for new or gently used book donations to add to our libraries.  If you have any books laying around the house that you or your students no longer read, please consider donating them to the library.  We are also looking for donations of educational DVD's (i.e. History Channel, Discovery Channel, A&E Biography, PBS, etc) and sponsors to pay for magazine subscriptions (TIME, Newsweek, National Geographic, ect).  If you are interested in donating please contact Mrs. Ford mailto:eoford@d49.org.  

The bus pick-up and drop-off points as well as the times have been released.  Please click on the "bus schedule" button to find the nearest pick-up point for your student.

The D49 Patriot Learning Center is a school of choice and is highly recommended for students who are not experiencing success in a traditional classroom setting.

At Patriot Learning Center we believe in the ability of every student to learn, and we realize that all students learn in different ways.  We also believe in the value of giving back to our community, which is why we are pioneering the first school wide community service program in the district!  The faculty and staff of PLC is dedicated to helping our students realize the value of giving back and being responsible and respectful citizens.

We feel absolutely privileged to be able to be a part of this wonderful opportunity to give our Falcon students a place to feel successful and belong.
