POSITIVE BEHAVIOR SUPPORT

 

PBS is a program that emphasizes school-wide support that includes proactive strategies for

teaching and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create a positive school environment.

A range of positive behavior support for all students is implemented in both

the classroom and non-classroom settings.

 

Positive Behavior Tickets

When a student displays positive behavior, they are always rewarded verbally. We also

reward them with POSITIVE BEHAVIOR TICKETS when we see fit.

These tickets are turned into their teachers and we hold drawings for prizes

at the end of every week. Students are also able to use their tickets to purchase items

from the FMS PBS Store, including Firebird laynards, bracelets, and

'Go To the Front of the Lunch Line' passes.

 

Store Items:

1 credit = piece of bubble gum

5 credits = red wristband

10 credits = black lanyard
