Building Accountability Advisory Committee

• The Evans Elementary BAAC is a group of parents, school staff and community members, that meet throughout the school year to gather information, receive reports, provide advice and make recommendations to the principal about the prioritization of school expenditures, areas of study and school safety.  The committee will advocate in the best interest of the school and facilitate communication and positive working relations between the school administration and the school community.

• BAAC meets the second Tuesday of every month directly following the PTO meeting at approximately 5:30. However, due to October break, the next meeting will be held October 23rd.

WHAT'S NEW WITH BAAC!

• We are currently focusing on educating the community and BAAC members about the different parts of the IB curriculum. Last month the IBO coordinator presented on the IBO written curriculum. October's meeting will focus on the taught curriculum. Come and learn more about the IBO program at Evans.

• The current officers are as follows: Chairperson-Dennis Richer, Vice Chairperson-Chris Wren, Principal-Amber Whetstine, Secretary-Mandy Maranville, Janet Griffith, Sheila Hudson, and Dave Horraz.
