FHS Counseling Announcements

  • You are invited to join Falcon High School counselors for an informational session about opportunities and eligibility for qualified high school students to earn college credits while attending high school. This night is designed for new concurrent enrollment applicants.

     

    WHERE:        FALCON HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM

    WHEN:          Thursday, January 26, 2017

                            6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

     

    To be considered for Concurrent Enrollment, students must have the following:

     

    • An updated Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP), including grade-level milestones
    • High school grades from the most recently completed semester and current semester should be at least “C” or high in every class
    • Test scores (Accuplacer, ACT, or SAT) confirming academic readiness for Concurrent Enrollment courses
    • No current semester discipline or behavior violations.  Violations from previous semester(s) may be considered as well
    • Consistent high school attendance

     

    Deadline for Concurrent Enrollment Student Request Forms for Fall 2017 is Friday, February 3, 2017. These forms are available online at d49.org/ce or in your high school counseling office.

District 49's school counselors are here to support students and families throughout the educational process. Counselors are an integral part of academic achievement through addressing the student as a whole person with various supports in all areas. Anonymous culture surveys provided to all middle and high school students to gather data about how students feel about their school environment.
