Mrs. Tami Adams
Hello! My name is Tami Adams and I love being a part of the Meridian Ranch family and the 4th-grade team. I started my teaching career 31 years ago, in Arizona. Since that time, I have taught full-time, part-time, substituted, and taken time off to raise my children. Our family moved to Colorado in 2010, and this will be my third year teaching at MRES.
I have been married for 34 years to my best friend and college sweetheart. Ed and I have four wonderful children who are all grown up now. Hannah is 25, a University of Alabama graduate, and she recently married a wonderful man named Brian, so I really have 5 kids now. :) Hannah and Brian live in Illinois, where she works as a Pricing Analyst and he works as a Chemical Engineer. Josh is 23, and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is currently pursuing a career in the Coast Guard. Michaela is 22, and a recent graduate of Colorado School of Mines. She now works as a Mechanical Engineer in Katy, Texas. Matt is 20, and a junior at the University of Wyoming, where he is pursuing a teaching degree and playing rugby for the university.
Our family loves being active. We like everything from snowskiing, to water sports, to disc golf. We spend much of our summer on the water, boating, wake-boarding, swimming, paddle-boarding, wake-surfing, you name it. I also love hiking! Spending time outside in the forest is good for my soul. I am a mountain girl at heart, but I love the beach, too. I also love horses, dolphins, and pretty much anything chocolate!! I collect different things, like beautiful rocks, sand from different beaches I've been to, and things with hearts. :) I take a lot of photos during my adventures and I hope my family will appreciate that someday...LOL!!
I know this will be a wonderful year. I expect my students to always be kind and always try their best. We are in this together.
Relationships with my students and their families are of the utmost importance to me. Please feel free to contact me any time. Email is the best way to reach me.
